I have been reading a lot of great new blogs recently. I am unconvinced about all the twitter tizzy. I still love blogs and have a sizeable number in my feed reader.

The essence of blogs is that you can find hidden treasures, and they are from people that really like to can write.

Sure you can discover some swanky individuals on twitter. But, seriously, twitter is for masses with attention defecit disorder or who dont like to write true posts. Yes, bunches of people twitter and also blog, and those people are groovy by me, but I am forever and eternally a blog fan.

Blogs squeeze the author to really articluate their opinion. Twitter on the other hand merely lets you to submit it. Call me old fashioned but I imagine there is a point where smaller is no longer greater. We have been obsessed with miniturization for so long. Specially when it comes to technology. Certainly there has to be a place where we get substance matters. Value matters. What do you think?

Possibly the true answer lies in balance. And compromise. You cannot squeeze individuals to have essence and not be shallow. But, too possibly you need to pressure the neo libral hippies to lighten up a bit too?
